Hi, my name is Ally Burson. It’s nice to meet you.

Background

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Porkopolis. The Queen City. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BA in International Affairs. I got a job in finance straight out of college, which lasted just over five years. During that time, I ended up moving to Dallas with my soon-to-be husband (Mark) and decided to take on the real estate world. I’ve been a realtor for nearly two years now and I love it. On top of that, I’ve started delving into marketing and research, so needless to say – I’m a busy girl.

Dallas has been so good to us. We’ve had the opportunity to live in different parts of the city (Design District, West Village, and now Oak Cliff), make some incredible friends who are basically family, and eat a lot of really good food. We bought a house in the summer of 2020, so it looks like we’ll be sticking around!

Why I started this blog

I wanted to put myself out of my comfort zone. Connect with people. Share thoughts, experiences, and knowledge. Start discussions. I wanted a creative outlet to do all of that.

What I get excited about

I’m a very happy, optimistic person. Here’s what gets me most excited… Going to new places, plants, skincare, shopping, trying new things, food, beer gardens, wine, cocktails, meeting new people, traveling, friends, family, Tolkien, the Bella Twins, color pallets, architecture, design, getting mail, giving gifts, lists, hosting parties, cooking for people, healthy hair, landscape design, textiles, dogs, construction, and hockey.
