Like any true new homeowner, we’ve been stocking up on ALL of the lawn games. We love hosting and hanging out in our backyard (although, it’s a bit of a work-in-progress right now). I wanted to share some of our favorite lawn games with y’all and I’d love to know what games you like to play. The links will take you to the Amazon page.
The Hockey Sauce Kit is super fun and portable. You don’t even need to be a great hockey player to enjoy this game. Additionally, you can purchase add-ons, like a floating base or different types of pucks to create the perfect kit.
A classic. I grew up playing this game in my backyard and I had to have a set for my own home.It is absolutely awesome for all ages.
I thought this was a midwestern game, but it turns out they play it in Texas too! Build your own or buy a set, either way, a solid board makes a big difference when playing cornhole. I love seeing what designs/sports teams/colleges people paint on them.
I have amazing memories playing bocce ball at my grandparents’ house on holidays. The cousins, aunts, and uncles would all line up and toss the balls in the freshly mowed grass – usually in the early evening after a good meal.
It’s basically a mix between frisbee and cornhole. It’s lightweight, so you can bring it to the beach, park, camping, or wherever your friends are.
Okay, so not really a lawn game, but it can be played outside! When the weather is nice, we lug out our Wii/Nintendo and mini projector along with whichever chords we might need and protect the game on the back of the house. Sometimes we put up a sheet or screen.
Fun, active, and as competitive as you want it to be. Spikeball can be played in the yard, beach, or park. If you like playing volleyball or breaking a sweat, you’ll love this game.
